Crisp rosin makes a very clean and clear sound often creating more projection, power and detail. Crisp works particularly well with instruments with more ring than clarity or where the warmth of the sound makes it harder to cut through thicker textures in solo playing or chamber music. Crisp also tends to work well with lighter bows and bows that would benefit from increased articulation.

A warm and softer sound, consistent traction that feels velvety and rich;

Supple Rosin makes a rounder, fuller sound with a feeling that the hair is really hugging the string. Supple works particularly well with brighter, louder instruments where it can be a challenge to find warmer colours or play softly especially in fast passages. Supple tends to work well with heavier, stronger bows where it is easy to over play the sound or over articulate.

 

LBR Bass rosin

Leatherwood Bespoke Rosin currently offer two blends for bass:

 

• Crisp - Solo & recital bass 

This blend offers a smooth and consistent traction which enhances the sound and overtones in melodic playing. The initial attack is clean, crisp and offers plenty of bite on 4-string basses for solo, recital and chamber music settings. This rosin is stable in a range of temperatures, maintaining its shape and texture in a normal range of temperatures. It will only start to soften in exposed to direct sunlight or ambient temperature above 35 degrees celsius.

 

• Supple - Baroque & soft string bass

This softer blend has a slightly reduced initial stickiness so the vibration of a gut or softer string is not inhibited. It offers a consistent and warm traction and is stable in a range of temperatures, maintaining its shape and texture in a normal range of temperatures. It will only start to soften in exposed to direct sunlight or ambient temperature above 35 degrees celsius.

• CRISP 

Un ataque decisivo, tracción firme y CRISP Sautillé;

Esta receta creaun innegable sonido directo a través de una textura cristalina. Hace un sonido muy limpio y claro, a menudo creando másproyección, potencia y detalle. La resina Crisp trabaja particularmente bien con los instrumentos Brillantes o donde lacalidez del sonido se hace más difícil de cortar a través de texturas más gruesas bien sea en la ejecución solista como en música de cámara, CRISP Leatherwood también tiende a funcionar biencon arcos ligeros así como también con aquellos arcos que sebenefician de mayor articulación.

 

• SUPPLE

Resina SUPPLE hace un sonido más completo y redondo, con una sensación de que las Cerdas/Crines realmente abrazan las cuerdas. SUPPLE Leatherwood funciona particularmente bien coninstrumentos más brillantes y más fuertes que pueden ser undesafío para encontrar colores más cálidos o tocar suavemente sobre todo en pasajes rápidos. SUPPLE tiende a trabajar bien con los arcos más pesados y más fuertes donde es fácil sobrepasarse en la ejecución del sonido o en la articulación.
